Friday, December 7th: Starshine in Penn Yan – Will be held on the Courthouse lawn again this year. Miss Penn Yan will be crowned; Food, Hot Chocolate, etc will be consumed. There is usually a horse-drawn wagon ride around town, and various groups providing live music.
Friday & Saturday (every weekend through December 24th): Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles - I’ve always wanted to go to this! “Visit the beautiful Village of Skaneateles Noon – 4 pm each Saturday & Sunday. Noon Kick-off on the porch of the Sherwood Inn. Saturday, December 8th: Christmas in Aurora - I just love Aurora. It’s so quaint and beautiful any time of year, but with the added decoration of Christmas, it us magnificent. There is a lot going on, so check their website. The Holiday Concert with Hammered Dulcimer player Dan Duggan and Peggy Lynn sounds really interesting, and is free and open to the public.
Saturday, December 8th: Hammondsport’s Christmas in the Park – Old fashioned Christmas with music, food, Santa, storytelling, wagon rides, and vendors. Santa & Mrs. Claus, along with some of their reindeer, will arrive around 6pm & there will be FREE horse-drawn wagon rides from 6-8pm. (more info)
Saturday & Sunday December 7th & 8th: Candlelight Tours at Seward House in Auburn – “Enjoy beautiful Christmas decorations at a historic mansion. See the Seward House Museum decorated for an elegant Victorian Christmas. Enjoy seeing the home in a “new light” as we present our Candlelight Tours.” Visit website for more info.
